Toxic is a legitimately really good status and it even heals you if you're really low, it has made me win fights simply because I used Endure to purposefully trigger a Toxic.įlagellant also doesn't care as much about negative relationships. Same for stress: 4 characters at 2 stress is harder to manage than 1 at 8, imoĪnother thing is Flagellant really doesn't mind Meltdown as much. It's the same reason why you'd heal a squishy character with Deathless you may lose more numbers (healing your, say, Grave Robber of 8 and losing 12 on Flagellant), but most moves require an HP threshold being reached, so one low HP character and 3 full life ones is easier to manage than 4 medium life, unhealable characters. Displacing stress so it's all bundled together and easier to take care of. If an ally is at 2, Flagellant now has it, and if Flagellant is at 5, you can use other stress reductions to cure him. It's also easier for Jester to manage stress if you don't start a fight with everyone under 5 but over 0. If you manage to resist the stress, you just removed 3 stress on someone that doesn't need to be at 5+, so you can get someone from 3 (1 away from danger) to straight up zero. There's a lot of sources of stress res, like the Wolf pet, Trinkets, Path passives on Jester and Plague Doctor I think? Things like that. How do you use Endure? Stress resist makes it pretty good because he can remove 3 from an ally but resist gaining stress, straight up. Use a full turn to remove 1 stress doesn't feel worth it to me.
